Usage History
The monitors were used exclusively in a private, non-smoking studio and always with special care.
They were never operated at levels above 87 dB SPL.
They were always paired with a separate 12" subwoofer, so they were never stressed at very low frequencies.
The woofer surrounds were preventively maintained once a year with a special silicone spray, so that they would maintain their elasticity and proper behavior over time.
The cabinets, speakers and amplifiers are in excellent condition.
O300 and Neumann KH310
The Klein & Hummel O300 is the direct predecessor of the Neumann KH310 and is based on the same design philosophy.
Many professional sound engineers still prefer the O300 for:
