Description
Καινουριο σε αριστη κατασταση με το κουτι του.
Mountain Mover is a ‘Big Muff’ variant paired with a ring modulator.
I’ve always had a fascination with Muff style fuzzes but have found them relatively one dimensional in the past and impossible to fit into a band scenario.
The idea behind Mountain Mover was to put together an aggressive sounding fuzz for the weirder crowd who prefer something a bit different when it comes to dirt.
I opted to add in a selection of toggle switches to quickly shift and manipulate the overall tonality of the fuzz.
The right footswitch engages the fuzz circuit and the left footswitch engages the ring modulator.
CONTROLS:
FUZZ
The three biggest knobs control the fuzz circuits tone, gain and volume.
Toggles:
Feed: This applies my take on the classic tone bypass mod. Rather than completely bypassing the eq section, this switch feeds part of the pre-eq fuzz in parallel with the filtered signal.
Mids: This toggle adjusts the mid range response of the tone circuit from scooped to pushed.
Character: This selects between two distinct gainstages at the heart of the fuzz circuit. In the upwards position you have a more superfuzz-esque flavour to the fuzz with a hint of an upper octave. In the downwards position you have a more blown out gainstage which can collapse in on itself at extreme settings.
RING MOD
The two smaller knobs control the volume of the ring modulator and the pitch of the carrier frequency. This can also be controlled via any expression pedal, I personally use a Moog EP-3.
