External signal sources like preamplifiers or mixer amplifiers can be connected by XLR, cinch or jack connectors balanced or unbalanced.
The AMP 480 offers a 100 Volt speaker output and an 8-Ohm connection for low impedance speakers. The amplifier, which is protected against overload and short circuit, comes in a 19-inch /3U housing. A blue power-LED and a LEDVU-meter gives information about the operating condition of the amplifier.
For safe operation a temperature controlled fan and a 24 Volt DC emergency power input are also provided. Also a fine feature is the remote start of the amplifier. Feeding 24V DC to the remote control input bridges the main power switch.
