UNIVERSAL DIGITAL MULTI, EXTENDER/SNAKE, DATA/OPTICAL ME CAT5 ETHERNET.
MADE IN SWITZERLAND BY APPSYS.
The system is simple and consists of 2 identical 1U rack units. Each unit has 8 optical inputs and outputs total 64 channels of bidirectional communication via simple CAT5 cable and not necessarily CAT5e. Of course it is also compatible with CAT5e and CAT6, CAT7. It also carries World clock, via extra BNC in/out. The distance is 100 meters.
It carries bidirectional ADAT up to 192KHZ/24bit - SPDIF and AES up to 96KHZ/24 bit, as well as AC3 (Dolby digital 5.1) - DTS - NRZ encoding. In general, it is compatible with all optical signals. I've connected and worked with tons of interfaces, consoles and cards that work ADAT and SPDIF, such as Presonus, RME, Yamaha DM1000 / 01V96 / ls9/32, Behringer and it's flawless.
