Description
I give private lessons in classical piano and harmony, aiming at technical training, the cultivation of musical perception and a deep understanding of the musical language, through the connection between theory, analysis and practical application on the instrument. I am a graduate of the Music Department of the Ionian University, I hold a degree in Harmony and Counterpoint, with advanced studies in piano. The lessons are addressed to children, teenagers, adults and conservatory students. Piano - Technique & Music Practice correct fingerings, articulations and dynamic control sound quality and control through touch and sustain pedal use hand independence rhythmic accuracy and internal sense of pulse score reading and prima vista The repertoire is approached in detail, with emphasis on phrasing, form and function of each musical idea. Harmony - Music Language & Analysis Functional harmony and harmonic writing Scales and modes in the context of tonal music Chords, harmonic progressions and harmonic sequences Arpeggiation and analysis of chordal structure Principles of voice leading and the harmony-melody connection Harmonisation and development of melodic lines Harmony is not taught in isolation, but is directly linked to the piano so that the student can hear, understand and practically control what he or she writes.
