Τα "καλύτερα" άλμπουμ του 2012

Κάθε χρόνο συγκεντρώνω τις λίστες από τα "καλύτερα" άλμπουμ όπως τα ψηφίζουν οι επαγγελματίες του είδους σε επιλεγμένα περιοδικά, sites, κλπ. Γιατί λοιπόν να μην τα μοιραστώ μαζί σας. Για όποιον τέλος πάντων ενδιαφέρεται...

 

Φέτος ξεχώρισαν 2 άλμπουμς: το Channel Orange του Frank Ocean και το good kid, m.A.A.d. city του Kendrick Lamar. Ιδιαίτερη έκπληξη για μένα. Δύο μαύροι καλλιτέχνες, ένας του R'n'B και ένας του Hip-Hop. Ούτε rock, ούτε alternative, ούτε καν indie. Πάει, χάλασε ο κόσμος!

 

Προσωπικά δεν άκουσα αρκετά τα δύο αυτά άλμπουμ. Πρώτον γιατί το hip hop γενικά δεν είναι το φόρτε μου και δεύτερον γιατί με τον Frank Ocean έγινε μεγάλη συζήτηση σχετικά με την ομοφυλοφιλία του και δεν πείστηκα αν αυτό ήταν αυθόρμητο ή άλλο ένα τρικ προώθησης του άλμπουμ. Ένα ακόμη εντυπωσιακό στοιχείο είναι ότι για τον Ocean ήταν το πρώτο άλμπουμ που κυκλοφόρησε ποτέ, ενώ για τον Lamar το δεύτερο (αλλά πρώτο σε μεγάλη εταιρία).

Υπάρχουν και άλλες λίστες, αλλά η εικόνα είναι γενικά η ίδια. Αν πάντως θέλει κάποιος μια συγκεκριμένη λίστα και την έχω, μπορώ φυσικά να την ανεβάσω.

 

Να θυμίσω τέλος ότι το άλμπουμ που είχε ξεχωρίσει αδιαμφισβήτητα το 2011 ήταν το Let England Shake της PJ Harvey.

Ετοιμαζόμουν κι εγώ να ανοίξω ένα σχετικό θρεντ, αλλά με αποθάρρυνε το κλίμα που υπάρχει τις τελευταίες μέρες στο νόιζ.

 

Διάβασα τις λίστες που ανέβασες. Δεν τις είχα όλες υπόψιν και, ως συνήθως, βρήκα πολλούς δίσκους που δεν έχω ακούσει, συμφώνησα και διαφώνησα με πολλές κατατάξεις. Είναι προφανές πως το κάθε περιοδικό/σάητ έχει τον προσανατολισμό του, αλλά και καλλιτέχνες που προβάλλει περισσότερο από άλλους.

 

Να προσθέσω τη λίστα του Needledrop (γνωστός youtuber που κάνει πολλά reviews, σχεδόν καθημερινά)

Προσωπικά, ξεχώρισα πολλούς δίσκους αυτή τη χρονιά και νομίζω πως κυκλοφόρησε πολλή μουσική για όλα τα γούστα.

 

Πράγματι, όπως γράφει ο OP, η μαύρη μουσική είχε την τιμητική της φέτος. Στον Ocean και τον Lamar(οι οποίοι, προσωπικά δεν μου είπαν τίποτα) θα προσέθετα και τους Death Grips. Κυκλοφόρησαν 2 δίσκους μέσα στο 12, οι οποίοι πήραν διθυραμβικές κριτικές. Βούιξε ο τόπος με αυτό το συγκρότημα και, σε ένα βαθμό, δικαιολογημένα. Παίζουν ένα περίεργο χιπ χοπ με πολλές αναφορές σε αφρικάνικη μουσική και θορυβώδη ηλεκτρονική και είναι συνολικά ό,τι πιο "δύσκολο"/περίεργο άκουσα τη χρονιά που μας πέρασε. Όσο τους ακούω όμως, τόσο μου αρέσουν. Επίσης, ξεχώρισα άλλους δύο χιπ χοπ δίσκους, τους τελευταίους των Killer Mike και El-p. Καταπληκτικοί στίχοι, συχνά έντονα πολιτικοί, πολύ μακριά από το στερεότυπο γυναίκες-όπλα-λεφτά και εξαιρετικές παραγωγές(και οι δύο του El-p).

 

Τον δίσκο των Godspeed τον περίμενα σα τρελός, αλλά δεν με ενθουσίασε. Φαίνεται αρκετά ίδιος με αυτά που έκαναν πολλά χρόνια πίσω. Αντιθέτως, μου άρεσε ο δίσκος των Spiritualized, ο οποίος νομίζω πως υποτιμήθηκε στις λίστες, αυτός των Tame Impala και αυτός των Cloud Nothings.

 

Τέλος, στην ηλεκτρονική μουσική, μου άρεσαν πολύ τα 2 ep που έβγαλε ο Burial.

 

Α επίσης, ας μη ξεχνάμε ότι κυκλοφόρησαν και πολλά καλά ελληνικά άλμπουμ. Το Mass Vulture των Bokomolech και το Pieces των Baby Guru, είναι δισκάρες κανονικότατα και πολύ καλύτεροι από πολλούς του εξωτερικού, ανάλογου ύφους, αλλά όχι ανάλογης προβολής.
