Τουλάχιστον το Custom Shop της Gibson,βάζει microchip μέσα στα necks των Reissue.Για ευνόητους λόγους δεν δίνουν και πολλές πληροφορίες,αλλά όταν είχα πάει στο Custom Shop,μου έδειξαν ένα neck ανάλογο με αυτό των φωτογραφιών στο συγκεκριμένο thread.

yes, we've been installing the chips in all CS guitars (they're in the neck block, not headstock) since about 1997.

 

we don't release the chip codes.

The information on the chip is proprietary, and only accessible via a scanner that we have on site here at the CS (and we are the only ones that have this particular scanner).

So to be of any use, the guitar would have to be stolen, recovered, and sent to us for verification. Likewise, with an eBay item, the guitar would have to be purchased and then sent in for verification.

We do keep logs of what serial number axe corresponds to each chip."
