Roland TD-6V System Update Version 1.02

Καλησπέρα, θέλω να κάνω update το module μου στην εκδοση 1.02.

Πήγα στο site της Roland και κατέβασα το update (TD6Vv1.02) καθώς και το SMF Player (UpdateSMF).

Το θέμα είναι το εξής:

οι οδηγίες είναι 2. Η 1η είναι της Roland και λέει τα παρακάτω:

 

TD-6 System Update

 

Note: When performing this update, all user data and custom settings are lost in

the TD-6. Before performing the update, be sure to back up any information you

wish to keep.

Standard MIDI File Update Procedure:

Required Equipment:

1. UPDATE DATA (SMF Files)

2. Computer

3. Computer MIDI Interface

4. Sequencer software (or any software that will play Standard MIDI Files)

5. MIDI Cable.

Update Procedure:

1. Turn off the power to the TD-6.

2. Turn on the power to the TD-6 while holding [EDIT] and [sTOP]. You will see

the display light up, but no text will appear. You will also see [EDIT] light.

3. Continue holding [sTOP], release [EDIT], and press [KIT] button. You will see

[KIT] light.

4. Continue to hold [KIT], release [sTOP] and press [sONG] button. Once [KIT]

and [RECORD] light up, you can release all buttons.

5. After a short pause, [KIT] and [RECORD] will go out and [PLAY] will light up.

6. Play the MIDI files from the computer.

7. As the files play to the TD-6, you will see [PLAY] light, then [PART MUTE],

then [REC] several times in succession.

8. You will see the [PLAY] button flash, indicating that the update has completed

successfully.

9. Turn the TD-6 off.

Factory Reset Procedure:

After performing the system update you must reset the TD-6 back to factory

settings. Follow these steps to perform the Factory Reset:

1. Turn the TD-6 on.

2. You will see “Backup NG! Execute Reset All!”. Press the [ENTER] button

twice.

Directions for using UpdateSMF

 

This is an application for playing back Standard MIDI Files that

can be used in place of a full-featured sequencer or librarian

program. This application is only available for IBM compatible

computers at this time. You will need a MIDI interface on your

computer to use this program.

 

Here is the procedure to use this application:

 

1) Copy the file "updateSMF.exe" to your computer.

2) Launch the application by double clicking on the appropriate icon.

3) Click on the arrow by MIDI Out Device and select the MIDI output

  you wish to use.

4) Click on Path and use the browse dialog box to locate the

  Standard MIDI Files you have downloaded (they should be in a

  directory by themselves) and click on OK.

5) Click on Scan SMF, you should see a number of files appear

  in the window immediately next to this button.

6) Press SEND to begin transmitting the files. The application

  will send all of the files sequentially.

7) When the update is completed, press Exit.

Ως εκ τούτου...εχω μπερδευτεί γιατι δεν ξερω ποια ειναι η σωστη σειρα με τις οδηγίες.

Για να κανω το Update έχω συνδεσει την καρτα ήχου μου (M-Audio Fast Track Pro) MIDI OUT, με τον TD-6V MIDI IN

googleαρισα λιγάκι και εψαξα αρκετα και στο vdrums forum. Αυτό που βρήκα ήταν οτι κάποιοι τύποι ''εκαψαν'' τον εγκεφαλο γιατι δεν κανανε σωστα τη διαδικασια (υπήρχαν και καποιοι που τον καψανε γιατι βαλαν το update του TD-6V σε TD-6 - αλλα αυτο δε μας απασχολει)

 

Υπάρχει κάποιος που να έχει τον TD-6V και να εχει κανει αυτό το update ΕΠΙΤΥΧΩΣ? ωστε να μου πει ενα-ενα τα βηματα για να μην κανω καμια μ@#$α και το κάψω και εγώ?

Για να δούμε το ROM Version του Module κανουμε την εξης διαδικάσια (από το knowledge base της Roland):

 

Viewing the current Rom Version

Knowledge Base ID: 104215

Product: TD-6 TD-6V

 

Use the following procedure to view the current ROM version in the TD-6:

 

1. Power on while holding KIT, CURSOR Left (<), and ENTER. The current version will be displayed next to "PROG:"

 

Το έκανα λοιπόν και ξερετε τι μου έβγαλε δίπλα στο PROG:?....1.03!!!

Πως είναι δυνατόν το τελευταίο update της Roland να είναι το 1.02 και εμενα να έχει το 1.03...

 

Επίσης ακολούθησα τα βήματα 1-4 αλλά φτάνοντας στο 4. (4. Continue to hold [KIT], release [sTOP] and press [sONG] button. Once [KIT]

and [RECORD] light up, you can release all buttons.) το [KIT] και το [RECORD] δεν άναψαν, άναψε όμως το [CLICK TEMPO]  ::) ??? >:(

 

Για να μην μας κουρασω βεβαια εστειλα e-mail στη Roland για όλα τα θεματα...

Αλλά αν ξέρει κανείς ας μου πει...

 

Δώστε φωτα ρε μαγκες όσοι εχετε TD-6V!

Μου απάντησε η Roland...

 

''Version 1.03 was a production update that includes ver 1.02. You do not need to update your TD-6V.''

 

Τζάμπα το άγχος...

 

Αλλά ρε π#$%^η μου πως γινεται να εχει τελευταιο update το 1.02 και το 1.03 να μην το εχει ανεβασει...? τέσπα...

Βασικά ναι μου εκανε κάτι κουτσουκέλες τωρα τελευταία...του εκανα reset και φτου και απο την αρχή...ειχα δει και το update της roland και είπα να το κάνω.

Αλλά όταν είδα ότι το module μου είχε rom 1.03 είχα ήδη βγάλει τα ματια μου να βγάλω άκρη...

τελος καλο όλα καλα...
