Πωλείται ο SH-16, ένας από τους πιο ισορροπημένους και "έξυπνους" μαγνήτες της Seymour Duncan. Πρόκειται για έναν Medium-Output μαγνήτη (~11.2k), που δημιουργήθηκε από το "πάντρεμα" δύο διαφορετικών πηνίων: ενός από τον '59 (PAF style) και ενός από τον Duncan Custom.

Γιατί ξεχωρίζει:

Ήχος: Προσφέρει το "νεύρο" και το σφιχτό (tight) παίξιμο που έχουν οι κεραμικοί μαγνήτες, αλλά με τη γλύκα και τις αρμονικές του Alnico 5.

Απόκριση: Πολύ σφιχτα μπάσα και τονισμένα μεσαία-πρίμα που όμως δεν "τσιρίζουν" ποτέ, ακόμα και στο καθαρό κανάλι.

Δυναμικές: Επειδή δεν είναι υπερβολικά "γκαζωμένος", ακούει εξαιρετικά στο παίξιμο με την πένα και καθαρίζει υπέροχα με το volume της κιθάρας.

Split Coil: Λόγω των διαφορετικών πηνίων (mismatched coils), όταν σπλιτάρει δίνει έναν από τους πιο πειστικούς single-coil ήχους που μπορείς να πάρεις από humbucker.

Harmonically rich hybrid humbucker (SH-16) that uses one coil from the 59 Model bridge and one coil from the higher output Duncan Custom model.

The ’59/Custom Hybrid is a medium output humbucker pickup that sparkles with upper midrange harmonic content and grit. The brainchild of our incredibly knowledgeable forum members, this humbucker is the result of experimental coil swapping in order to push into new tonal territory. The mismatched coils, and the alnico 5 bar magnet keep the low end nice and tight and give the mids a grind that is perfect for hard rock and metal. Plenty of crunch and bite on top as well. When split, you get the Custom’s 7k coil for a more distinct single coil sound. Pair with the ’59 neck or Jazz neck model for a nicely balanced setup.

Hand built in Santa Barbara, CA, the 59/Custom Hybrid medium output humbucker pickup uses mismatched coils, an alnico 5 bar magnet, nickel silver short leg bottom plate, 4-conductor lead wire for multiple wiring options, is vacuum wax potted for squeal-free performance, and is available in standard humbucker or Trembucker spacing.
