Περιγραφή
This is a pair of the legendary Super 70s humbuckers, made by Maxon (called a U 1000) and found on Ibanez guitars, among others made by the Fujigen factory.
This particular pair comes from a 1974 Antoria 2386 Les Paul copy which I bought in 1982 off the second owner, as far as I know. Antoria was the UK import name on identical guitars shipped to other countries under the Ibanez label.
I believe they have Alnico 8 magnets. The bridge p/up has a flipped magnet for the Peter Green mod - very convincing sound.
Wire is shorter than the original, as the photos show. Also, the previous owner painted the cream bobbin black, which has been cleaned up as you can see in the pictures.
These pickups are rare enough, but the zebra version is hen's teeth. They are in perfect working order, with understandable wear for 50-year-old gear. No screws or springs, and the original metal open surrounds are long gone, I'm afraid.
